Our November Impact Award Winner is Vermont School Teacher Emily LaValle!

Tremendous work is done across our Wyoming school community to create extraordinary opportunities for students. Vermont School Teacher Emily LaValle exemplifies excellence in her work to empower Wyoming students with the knowledge, perspective, and skills essential for success. 

In her work, Ms. LaValle:

• Creates active and engaging learning experiences and environments for students.
• Celebrates the accomplishments of students and staff members.
• Provides timely and accessible communication to others.
• Works to develop the skills necessary to meet the needs of our learners.
• Supports student and staff-member social and emotional well-being.

Ms. LaValle consistently makes an effort to know what is going on in her students’ lives outside of school and celebrates their accomplishments.

She can often be seen working with students at her small group table so she can give them specific feedback.

Ms. LaValle always responds to emails and text messages and does so in a kind, positive, and helpful way.

Emily has a humble spirit, often putting the spotlight on others and recognizing them in both formal and informal ways.

She is open to trying new things and is receptive to others’ ideas.

In her classroom, Emily creates active and engaging learning experiences for her students in an environment that’s welcoming to all.

Ms. LaValle has been a Wyoming Primary teacher for more than 20 years and you can feel how much she values the relationships she has formed over that time with students and families, staff members and community members.
