In the words of people who nominated Mr. Styons for the WCS Impact Award:

Tyler is a leader, a valued team member, a trusted resource, and an advocate for students and colleagues alike.

He works hard to support all students, ensuring they feel encouraged, capable, and successful in the classroom.

He collaborates with community partners to create engaging, hands-on lessons that students genuinely enjoy.

As a team leader, he collaborates effectively with colleagues, shares ideas, and makes a big impact on teachers and students.

He works hard to get to know his students and build positive, meaningful relationships with them.

Tyler consistently goes above and beyond to design engaging, hands-on, STEAM-related projects that challenge students and make learning meaningful.

He provides creative opportunities for students to display their strengths while individualizing learning and providing appropriate supports.

Tyler recognizes the accomplishments of his colleagues. He also recognizes when they need help with problem-solving and will advocate on their behalf.

He models excellence through his character, treatment of others, and mindset.

He is always thinking of others, although he does not usually want credit for the things he is doing for them.
