WHS Chess Team Wins League for 4th Year in a Row!
The Wyoming High School Chess Team won the Greater Cincinnati Scholastic Chess League on Wednesday, March 31. The team - Bo Bottenhorn, Austin Lin, Ashton Magee, Timothy Thorman and Arwin Xu - defeated Walnut Hills 4-1 in the championship match.
"These well-rounded young men are not only good chess players but also accomplished musicians and athletes," said Coach Don Gieseker. "It is an honor for me to coach them."
Thank you to Assistant Coaches Jamie Tubbs, Geoff Wise, and Charles Margolis for provided tough competition during practice and preparing the team for their interscholastic matches.
