Congratulations to our National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists!

Congratulations to our National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists!

Six Wyoming High School seniors have been named semifinalists in the 71st annual National Merit Scholarship Program. These academically-talented students - Tyler Evans, Carmella Janavicius, Cora Kramer, Wambui Mbui, Gram Pearman, and Lorelei Wise - earned top scores on the 2024 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. Representing less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors, the nationwide pool of semifinalists includes the highest-scoring entrants in each state.

These students are among the 16,000 students from across the nation who have an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 6,930 National Merit Scholarships worth nearly $26 million that will be offered this spring. Over 1.3 million juniors in about 20,000 schools entered the program by taking the 2024 PSAT.

“The students of Wyoming High School exemplify excellence in every sense,” said Principal Michael Voynovich. “This distinguished group reflects the high standards of our school and demonstrates the remarkable capabilities of our student body. We are honored to celebrate their achievements!”
