Congratulations to our National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists!

Congratulations to our National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists!

Six Wyoming High School seniors have been named semifinalists in the 72nd annual National Merit Scholarship Program. These academically-talented students - Rosie Galvin, Joss Hogenesch, Greg Kleinschmidt, Emmeline Kurtz, Rory Ruedisueli, and August Valerius - earned top scores on the 2025 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. Representing less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors, the nationwide pool of semifinalists includes the highest-scoring entrants in each state.

These students are among the 16,000 students from across the nation who have an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 6,700 National Merit Scholarships worth nearly $24 million that will be offered this spring. Over 1.2 million juniors in about 20,000 schools entered the program by taking the 2025 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).

“The students of Wyoming High School exemplify excellence in every sense,” said Principal Michael Voynovich. “This distinguished group reflects the high standards of our school and demonstrates the remarkable capabilities of our student body. We are honored to celebrate their achievements!”
