In the words of those who nominated Ms. Jansing-Jata for the WCS Impact Award:
Ms. Jansing-Jata has a foot firmly planted in two worlds at all times - academic health and mental/emotional health - which is not easy.
One of Effie’s best qualities is her attention to detail when it comes to her students.
She has been hugely helpful and influential with my daughters.
Her role is usually behind the scenes, but her positive influence is on every one of my kids’ report cards and in their self-confidence every day!
She is invested in her students and their mental health always comes first.
Using one-on-one meetings, she has counseled my children on how to juggle the academic demands and mental demands of being a teen in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
Ms. Jansing-Jata equips students with coping tools for optimal mental health and she is always accessible.
Our children are blossoming into their best selves due to Ms. Jansing-Jata’s care and guidance.
When our kids have stumbled, she helps them up and gets them back on track.
You can tell that she finds joy in being around her students and seeing them achieve success in the areas they desire.
