Wyoming High School is collaborating with community leaders to renovate and expand the current media center. This Innovation Research Center will be a space that supports STREAM (Science, Technology, Research, Arts, and Mathematics) - a culture of learning and encouraging students to be innovators, critical thinkers, research experts, and creators of solutions.
The STREAM Innovation Research Center will provide a platform for a new capstone curriculum that will be offered to all Wyoming High School students and will be a model for high schools throughout the country as a place where students can build the future. Wyoming High School students excel in academics, arts, and athletics and this space and curriculum will give them access to the tools of innovation.
Wyoming City School District is working with the Wyoming School Foundation to privately fund this project. No tax money will be used.
If you’d like to learn more about the space and the enhanced curriculum that it will support, join Assistant Superintendent Dr. Ashley Whitely and Wyoming High School teachers at 6:30 p.m. Monday, March 11, in the Wyoming High School media center.
The Foundation has raised $997,000 toward their goal of $1,250,000 for this project.
