Community Event: WCPAAA: Screening of "Conviction" with discussion & Q&A 7pm WMS Fay Auditorium

The Wyoming (Ohio) Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association (WCPAAA) sponsors programs dealing with law enforcement topics of interest to the Wyoming community. To kick off the 2019 season, WCPAAA invites the community to view the film Conviction, the True Story of Clarence Elkins, followed by a Q&A session following the film. Elkins was wrongfully convicted of the rape and murder of his mother-in-law and the rape of his niece. Elkins' wife enlisted the Ohio Innocence Project to help exonerate Elkins who spent six years in prison before his release in 2006. Joining us for the evening are Clarence Elkins and Mark Godsey, Ohio Innocence Project co-founder and director. The program begins with the movie at 7 PM, followed by a discussion, questions and answers and is open to all Wyoming residents. If interested, please RSVP to kay.walters29@gmail.com or 513.535.8206
