At 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2023, we hosted a cookout at Wyoming High School that was followed by a CommUNITY Conversation about the Wyoming City Schools Culture Blueprint.
Our culture is the heart of our school system. It makes Wyoming City Schools a special place to learn and work, and it gives us a unique advantage. During the summer of 2022, several staff members worked with Derek Avera from Focus 3 to produce the Wyoming City Schools Culture Blueprint. Culture is not a document that hangs on the wall but our Blueprint has provided us with a foundation for conversations and standards for how we behave toward each other and our community. Our culture at Wyoming City Schools aligns our staff members around a common set of beliefs and behaviors that ultimately determine how we prepare our students for the future. Derek facilitated our April CommUNITY Conversation where we included the community more directly in the Wyoming City Schools Culture Blueprint and gave parents and community member information about what would be shared with Wyoming City Schools students during the 2023-2024 school year. The information shared included:
- How our Beliefs and Behaviors can drive incredible Outcomes as we work to foster the academic growth and personal development of every Wyoming student.
- How culture is deteremined by the way each of us manages our 20 Square Fee.
