Per Policy 0169.1, Wyoming City School District Regular Board of Education Meetings are not public meetings, but meetings held in public. However, the Board encourages and appreciates citizen interest in meetings of the Board. Each Regular Board Meeting includes a Recognition of the Public agenda item. This place in the agenda is specially set aside to hear comments from visitors. Members of the public must register their intention to participate prior to the start of the meeting on the sign-in sheet and indicate their topic of address.
- Anyone who is a Wyoming resident, Wyoming City School employee, or District business owner, may participate during the designated public participation portion(s) of a meeting.
- In order for the Board to fulfill its obligation to complete the planned agenda in an effective and efficient fashion, it may be necessary to allow a maximum of thirty (30) minutes of public participation to be permitted at each meeting.
- Each statement made by a participant shall be limited to three (3) minutes in duration unless extended by the presiding of officer.
- The Board welcomes comments and uses this time to listen. All statements shall be directed to the presiding officer; no person may address or question Board members individually. The Board or the Superintendent may wish to follow up later with information or futher questions.
