Distribution Timeline

The mission of Wyoming City Schools is to “promote academic achievement, self-worth, mutual respect, and multi-faceted student development so that students will be positive contributors to society.”  The mission includes a vision where “21st Century habits and authentic inquiry-based experiences which can lead to all students reaching their full potential, responsible citizenship, global competency, and life-long learning.”

Access to knowledge and learning is expanding over the web.  In addition, the demands of the workplace are changing.  

A one-to-one initiative will support Wyoming City Schools in fulfilling this mission.  

For the 2018-19 school year, laptops will be distributed on to 10th-12th grades at Technology and Schedule Pick Ups on August 9. Ninth grade students will pick up laptops at 9th Grade Technology Pick Up 9-10:30 a.m. Monday, August 6. Ninth grade families can learn more about the One-to-One Laptop program at 9th Grade Parent Orientation 7-8 p.m. Wednesday, August 8. 1:1 Laptop Program Meetings for 10th, 11th & 12th grade families will take place at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Monday, August 20.

Students begin learning laptop care, basic troubleshooting, and Internet safety in the primary grades and this education continues through high school.
