Second graders test their board games

First-grade students participated in the annual chore chart project, raising more than $1,000 and using that money to purchase gifts for current residents of the Ronald McDonald House Charities - Greater Cincinnati.

In some of our second grade classrooms, students created board games based upon their recent individual reading for Inner City Youth Opportunities (ICYO) after-school programs. Each student read their assigned book, created an outline, developed their game, tested their game with a classroom friend, evaluated the game and packed it up with the new book for delivery. ICYO receives between 40 and 50 new books and games each year.
