The Dr. Dan Jones Family Champions Center became a reality during the 2020-2021 school year. This new, privately-funded facility on the campus of Wyoming High School, supports year-round interscholastic athletic programs for all of Wyoming’s student athletes.
One of the only indoor, all-weather facilities of its kind in the area, the Champions Center offers 18,000 square-feet of training and practice space, including a 40-yard indoor turf field, portable batting cages, wrestling mats, weight room with new equipment, track and cross country room, and team meeting space.
This $2.7 million state-of-the-art facility was entirely funded through private donations thanks to the work of the Wyoming School Foundation and the Champions Center Campaign Committee.
"The sense of community, the outstanding education, and the elite athletic programs in Wyoming are altogether incomparable,” said Wyoming School Foundation Board Member and Champions Center Campaign Co-Chair Chris Woodside. “The Dr. Dan Jones Family Champions Center goes to show the impact that Wyoming alumni, residents, business partners, and parents can have when there’s a call to action. On Wyoming!”
