Wyoming High School named a Best High School by U.S. News & World Report

US News Best High School National Badge


Wyoming High School has been named one of the Best High Schools around by U.S. News & World Report. In the public high school rankings, Wyoming High School was ranked second in the Cincinnati metro area, #3 in the state of Ohio, and #124 in the nation. Walnut Hills High School, a selective enrollment public high school, was ranked first in the Cincinnati metro area.

According to US News & World Report: “A great high school educates all students from different social and economic backgrounds, exposing them to challenging coursework on the path to graduation. The highest ranked U.S. public schools in U.S. News & World Report's 2021 Best High Schools rankings are those whose students demonstrated outstanding outcomes above expectations in math and reading state assessments, earned qualifying scores in an array of college-level exams, and graduated in high proportions.”

The U.S. News methodology includes the following weighted indicators:

  • College Readiness (30%)

  • Math and Reading Proficiency (20%)

  • Math and Reading Performance (20%)

  • Underserved Student Performance (10%)

  • College Curriculum Breadth (10%)

  • Graduation Rate (10%)
