Model UN team has great showing at IU conference

Model UN Team competes at IU

The Wyoming High School Model UN Team took a small group of students to the Indiana Model United Nations Conference in Bloomington, Indiana, February 21-23 and, due to their overall performance, the team was named Best Small Delegation at the conference. This was the first time that the team participated in this conference with more than 550 students competing on the campus of Indiana University.

Additionally, the following students were recognized for their individual efforts:

Disarmament and International SecurityCommittee: Honorable Mention, USA - Seth Kahn and Lydia Smith

Economic and Social Council: Best Delegate, Mexico - Sam Black; Verbal Commendation, Sudan - Arish Antia

United Nations General Assembly Legal Committee: Honorable Delegate, Somalia - Margo D'Agostino

Association of Southeast Asian Nations: Verbal Commendation, Sri Lanka - Chloe Rajhbandari

Sierra Club: Verbal Commendation, Edgar J. Wayburn - Liam O'Shaughnessy

"This was our first time at IU and we are thrilled with the results!" said Model UN Advisor Terryl Meador.
