Your plastic caps and lids will help us beautify our courtyard

WMS Green Team

Wyoming Middle School’s 5th grade Cowboy Bell students & the Green Team are collaborating to make one of the two school courtyards more useful for our school community.

Cowboy Bell classes have been hard at work designing models of their ideal courtyard and have learned that it should be filled with art, raised beds for planting, and plenty of seating so teachers can conduct classes there.

To make our dream come true we are partnering with Green Tree Plastics, a company out of Evansville, IN that manufactures recycled plastic into park furniture (tables, benches, planters, etc.) The Green Team is collecting acceptable plastic caps/lids that will one day become our courtyard furniture. Our goal is to collect 3,000 pounds of recyclable caps/lids.

We are asking the community for help in this HUGE project. There is a donation station located in Wyoming Middle School’s main entrance.  A list of acceptable plastic caps/lids. Please help WMS students beautify our courtyard as well as keep 3,000 pounds of plastic out of our local landfill!
