The Wyoming City Schools Attributes of a Learner specifies the cognitive, personal, and interpersonal competencies of a graduate of Wyoming High School and a student in Wyoming City Schools. Co-created with input from key stakeholders, this document articulates the community’s aspirations for students. It identifies the priorities for teaching and learning in Wyoming City Schools and serves as a tool to align the collective efforts of students, parents, and staff.

The six competencies are:

Cognitive Capacities, Personal Competencies and Interpersonal Competencies

The cognitive capacities that underpin our students' learning across their classes and through their school experience:

Critical & Creative Thinking and Engaged Learning

The personal competencies that are valued at home and at school:

Commitment to Character and Resiliency

The interpersonal capacities that are most essential for functioning in workplaces and communities:

Communication, collaboration and empathy

The priority areas and goals of the Wyoming City Schools Strategic Plan are the building blocks that will help students become fluent in these six competencies by graduation.
