Elm Inspiration Garden is a pollinator paradise!

The Wyoming School District's newest garden at Elm School is up and growing! With plants and guidance from the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden, and labor from students, staff members, administrators, and community members, the Elm Inspiration Garden is a true community effort.

"We're very excited about this beautiful addition to the playground area," says Jen Dobson, a first grade teacher at Elm and organizer of the project. "We look forward to new projects now available for the students in this pollinator garden. Plus, it adds a whole new dimension to activities available to students at recess!"

To celebrate the garden's opening, elementary and middle school students are encouraged to take part in a Pollinator Detectives project at https://cech.uc.edu/pollinatordetectives. This project was created as a collaboration among the University of Cincinnati, Xavier University, Wyoming City Schools, and Queen City Pollinator Project. It's open throughout the summer and encourages children to observe and share information and photographs about plants that attract pollinators.

Bonus points if they use plants from the Elm Inspiration Garden!
