WHS Teacher wins 2021 Outstanding Art Teacher Award staff spotlight

At this year's Ohio Art Education Association Conference, WHS Teacher Mollie Williams received the Outstanding Art Teacher Award for Ohio’s Southwest Region!

Nominated by her fellow art educators, Mollie (pictured with her husband and children) was lauded for her consistent dedication to her students, her scholarship and her professionalism.

CDC expands booster recommendation clinics

On November 29th, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) strengthened its recommendation on booster doses for individuals who are 18 years and older saying everyone ages 18 and older should get a booster shot either when they are 6 months after their initial Pfizer or Moderna series or 2 months after their initial J&J vaccine.

Our new software monitoring tool Tech Tools

Last school year, there was a strong interest from middle school and high school staff and parents for greater student software monitoring. Based on this feedback, we are introducing Securly to safeguard our students and empower our educators while using technology tools.  

In school, SecurlyClassroom allows our teachers to monitor student use of technology in a variety of ways.  Teachers are able to push web pages out to students, monitor student progress, minimize distractions, and keep students focused on learning.
