The Commencement Ceremony for the Class of 2022 is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Saturday, May 28, 2022, at Wyoming High School’s Graduation Walk. In the case of inclement weather, the ceremony will move inside and take place in the Pendery Center for the Arts for ticket holders. If the ceremony must move indoors, each member of the Class of 2022 will receive 4 tickets.

“It is with great sadness and excitement that I am tendering my resignation from the Wyoming City Schools Board of Education, effective June 1, 2022,” said Board Member Justin Buckner. “My excitement stems from the unique career opportunity presented to me requiring a relocation to Los Angeles, California. I will be working in Human Resources for Netflix. This is an adventure my family and I are looking forward to pursuing.”
Nine WMS students participated in this year's OMEA District 14 Jr. High Honor Orchestra! They learned, rehearsed and performed with 75 students from the tri-state area in January 14 & 15. We're so proud of WMS students Anna Cameron, Risty Churchwright, Caroline Critzer, Joel Healy, Gitanjali Iyer, Sydney Jerrell, Cora Kramer, Ashton Magee and Natalie Martell and their strings teachers Laura Coomer and Lynn Denney!

Wyoming City Schools has earned the Auditor of State Award for excellence in financial reporting. This award is presented to local governments and school districts upon completion of a “clean” audit report.
Every year, an audit team spends weeks reviewing accounting practices, internal controls, and compliance against state and federal rules and regulations for financial reporting. They randomly choose from all financial transactions to ensure an objective examination of our financial statements.
During the Secondary Schools United Nations Symposium sponsored by McGill University in Montreal, our 20 WHS Model UN delegates competed in a variety of committees and six won top honors for their research, advocacy, diplomacy, and collaboration. Competing remotely, our team was impressive while showcasing their skills and adaptability.
Wyoming High School Senior Grace Courtney earned the State Championship Title for the second time at the 2022 OHSAA State Diving Tournament. With her score of 519.10, she broke her own state record in the process! Her record-breaking 2021 score was 485.80.
