Three seniors earn scores of 36 on ACT

Mia, Lou & Isaac

Three members of the Wyoming High School Class of 2021, Mia Hagenaur, Lou Rosenberg, and Isaac Towne, earned the highest possible score of 36 on the ACT college admissions test.

The ACT consists of tests in English, mathematics, reading and science, with an optional writing test. Each test is scored on a scale of 1 to 36, and a student's composite score is the average of those four test scores rounded to the nearest whole number. According to calculations based upon The ACT Profile Report for the Graduating Class of 2020, one-third of 1% of test takers earned a 36.

Mia plans on attending DePauw University in the fall as an Honor Scholar, a Rector Scholar, and a member of the swim team. Mia plans to foster her love for the sciences and medicine by majoring in biochemistry with the intention to take a pre-med track.

Lou is the Valedictorian of the Wyoming High School Class of 2021. He plans to study at St. John’s College in Annapolis, Maryland, this fall. "Lou is one of the most gifted students I have taught in my 16 years as a Cowboy," said Teacher Julia St. Pierre. "But the real test of a gifted individual is what they will gift the world. I believe Lou brings myriad gifts to our world and will be a changemaker. Congratulations, Lou!"

Isaac plans on attending Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in the fall as a Noblitt Scholar majoring in computer engineering with a minor in cognitive science. He hopes to use college as a chance to research brain-cognitive interfaces to develop technology to allow those who are differently-abled to regain their independence.

Congratulations and best, best wishes to Mia, Lou, Isaac, and the entire Wyoming High School Class of 2021!
